Annalise Foong

Principal Consultant

Annalise is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia) and Legal Practitioner (Law Society of New South Wales) with 20 years of extensive experience in the areas of international tax, mergers, acquisitions and integration planning, both from the commercial and professional services environment.

Prior to founding Flextax Consulting, Annalise was the Global Tax Director at a large HKSE listed company with full scope responsibility for direct tax, indirect tax and customs matters. In this role, she led teams of regional tax managers and analysts in global locations who were involved in all strategic planning and compliance matters associated with both direct tax and transactional tax matters for the Group. Prior to that she worked as a tax professional in various large MNCs and Big 4 Accounting Firms.

Some of Annalise’s past projects included leading cross-border global structuring, supply chain transformations, audit and controversy management, tax due diligence, mergers and acquisitions and tax incentive negotiations in major locations in both Asia and Europe.

Annalise is passionate about efficient and effective tax management within corporate organisations, and has first-hand experience of the complexity associated with tax management in today’s environment amidst tight resourcing challenges faced by tax leaders. Through her experience, she has gained the instinct to be able to quickly and efficiently identify the path to practical management of tax issues. She also loves finding value add opportunities for organisations and thrives when she is able to become entangled in complex tax puzzles.

Annalise is also passionate about developing young tax professionals and enjoys training and education so that finance professionals can be empowered to identify tax saving opportunities and tax compliance issues.
